Road trip: OBX by allegra
Yesterday Matt and I drove 6 hours to the Outer Banks in North Carolina in an enormous (rental) SUV that had six cupholders accessible from the front seat. Really, what more do you need in life? (Maybe also to average more than 15 miles per gallon.)
Along the way we passed:
- The Stonewall Jackson Shrine
- A hitchhiker with a sign requesting a ride to Elizabeth City (I can’t remember the last time I saw an actual hitchhiker)
- GRAVE DIGGER (who has been turned upside down since we last saw him)
- That one house on the beach that is practically in the ocean at high tide, yet is miraculously still standing
- A gazebo filled with sand
