I’ve been on a “No snow until 2012″ campaign since last March. Since it’s still 2010, I’ve lost. Badly. Then again, when seen through a toddler’s eyes maybe an inch or two isn’t so bad? [...] We’re not exactly sure where this one came from… Mock all you want, but all she’s ever heard from us is “Mama’s coffee is yucky!” Disclaimer: No toddlers ingested coffee during the making of this video. Eva turned one and a half yesterday. This means… When people ask how old she is, I no longer measure in months. She follows instructions. She consistently responds to, “Eva, throw this away,” or “Go play with your cat piano,” or “Climb the stairs and find Eva’s room,” or “Go find the Hippopotamus book.” All [...] I know this will come as a shock to everyone, but Eva and I like going to the library. I looked at our Baby Signing Time videos and typed up [...] The war is over; pink wins. I hereby submit to incorporating pink willingly and without complaint into Eva’s wardrobe. Did I ever stand a chance against polka dot butterfly wings? For more toddler accessorizing, visit our October photo gallery. [...] Eva pulls her stuffed sheep out of her toy basket. EVA: Mama. MATT: Eva, the sheep says, “Baa baa.” EVA: Mama. MATT: Baabaabaa. EVA: Mamama. MATT: Eva, trust me. I’ve seen sheep. They say, “Baaaaa baa.” EVA: Mama. Toddler: 1. Daddy: 0. Mama: Might shed a tear when Eva learns what the sheep really says. Remember when I mentioned we took a baby to Quebec City? Less than month later we took a toddler – and not just any toddler, one that was teething – to Princeton, North Carolina for the annual Hartley reunion. The trip was a great opportunity for Eva to spend a few days with her great-grandfather, [...] |
