It’s been a busy latter half of the year, as many of you can probably tell by my almost complete lack of posting on our blog. I thought it might be wise to post an update before I go back to my draft posts from January and March and try to actually get them [...] Having survived an overwhelming semester of two classes at the same time along with a very busy few months at work, I’ve spent the last two weeks vegetating on TV shows I’ve missed, watching Blu-ray movies I’ve wanted to see, trying new restaurants and going out to see new movies (unbelievable, I know!), and reading [...] “On behalf of the Graduate School of Virginia Tech, I am pleased to inform you that based upon the recommendation of the Science and Technology Studies faculty, we can offer you admission to the Doctor of Philosophy at the National Capital Region Campus. Congratulations!” Well, a new semester is beginning. As Allegra previously mentioned, I have decided to take two classes this semester: Main Themes in the Philosophy of Science & Technology I Yes, I’m crazy!! However, based on where I want to go in the program and the timing of the various courses [...] Here are a few odds and ends for everyone to enjoy: I got published in ISSA Journal while I was gone—my article is entitled Current and Future Threats to Digital Forensics [subscribers only]. It’s very exciting (well, at least to me)! I can’t put it up for 18 months, so everyone will have to [...] So I must be crazy – I’ve decided to go back to school again! After much debate over the past year, I’ve enrolled in the Virginia Tech Science and Technology Studies program offered here in Northern VA. I’m kind of shooting for a second Masters, but depending on how things go, and if I can [...] |
